Atlantic City is a resort city on the coast of New Jersey. It is known for its famous boardwalk, many casinos and beaches and its nightlife. Casino gambling was legalized in 1976 and Atlantic City’s first casino was built soon after. The city now has eight casinos, most of which also act as hotels.

CTW Must See
Since 1921, Atlantic City has been home to the Miss America Pageant. You’ll find a statue of Miss America along the boardwalk. You can also have some fun at Steel Pier Amusement Park, which has many great carnival rides and a ferris wheel that provides an exciting perspective of the Boardwalk.

The Tropicana Casino & Resort is the largest hotel and casino in the city and one of the largest hotels in the state! The Tropicana follows an Old Havana theme. All of the hotel rooms and shopping centers are designed to resemble Havana, Cuba.

Bally's Wild Wild West Casino stands as one of the Boardwalk’s largest hotels. It contains nearly 2,000 rooms! Its facade and part of its interior was recently renovated, creating more modern take on the Wild West. Dining options within Bally’s include Guy Fieri’s Chophouse and Guy’s Bar-B-Que Joint.

Caesars Atlantic City Hotel & Casino contains just over 1,000 rooms. Its Roman theme features many icons, like Roman statues and a replica of the Coliseum. It originally opened in 1979, but has been renovated a couple times since. If you are looking for a break from gambling, you can enjoy a bite at Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill or Morton’s The Steakhouse inside Caesar’s. Also, you can go shopping in the Playground Pier across from the building.
