Indulge in
Bel Lago Vineyard and Winery
MI , USA
Michigan is a gorgeous state in the Midwest. It is surrounded by nature, the Great Lakes and some of the best food and drinks in the country. In Northern Michigan, you’ll find the Leelanau Peninsula, a beautiful wine region located up in the hills. Bel Lago Vineyard and Winery, translates from Italian to Beautiful Lake.

Bel Lago Vineyard and Winery overlooks its thirty-seven acre vineyard and down to Lake Leelanau. The vineyard dates back to 1987, when Domenic, Ruth and Amy Iezzoni, and Charles Edson planted their roots. About ten years later, they opened a tasting room at the top of a hill. Bel Lago produces one hundred varieties of grapes and many common wines for the region, like Pinto Grigio and Cabernet Franc, and some uncommon wines, including Auxerrois and Siegerrebe.

A visit to the tasting room will allow you a tasting for a small fee. Try some of the unique reds and whites, including a Bel Lago speciality, barrel-aged wines. Indulge in some hard-pressed ciders, including a hopped cider, an oak-aged cider and more. And finish your tasting with a delicious cherry wine or cherry dessert wine.
