Indulge in

Black Star Farms

Michigan is a gorgeous state in the Midwest. It is surrounded by nature, the Great Lakes and some of the best food and drinks in the country. In Northern Michigan, you’ll find the Leelanau Peninsula, a beautiful wine region located up in the hills. Black Star Farms owns two tasting rooms along the Old Mission Wine Trail and the Leelanau Wine Trail.

Black Star Farms's main property is located near Suttons Bay. It dates back to 1998 and sources grapes from their own vineyards and local growers. This allows them to gather a larger variety of high quality grapes. Black Star Farms also acts as a distillery that creates fruit brandies, including apricot, pear, and plum!

A visit to the tasting room will allow you to taste five products from their range for a small fee. You can choose from most of their award winning wines, sparking wines, dessert wines, or fruit brandies.

After you’ve enjoyed a tasting, you can visit the rest of Black Star Farms impressive 160-acre property. Grab a bite to eat at the farm-to-table cafe and visit their beautiful equestrian facility. And, if you want to spend more time here, book a night or two at their luxury inn!

Visit their official website to help plan your visit!
