Forty-Five North Vineyard & Winery
MI , USA
Michigan is a gorgeous state in the Midwest. It is surrounded by nature, the Great Lakes and some of the best food and drinks in the country. In Northern Michigan, you’ll find the Leelanau Peninsula, a beautiful wine region located up in the hills. Forty-Five North Vineyard & Winery is one of the wineries part of the wine trail and offers a great view.

In 2006, Steve and Lori Grossnickle purchased a farmland on the peninsula. They quickly dove into the growing wine industry. The winery is located near the 45th parallel and covers 35 acres of land! Their superb location allows them to grow ten varieties of grapes. They also grow their own apples that are used in their cider range!

As you enter the tasting room, you will be greeted by a rustic barn, bar stools with tassels, and a friendly face behind the bar. Sit down for a glass of handcrafted wine, cider, or enjoy a tasting of the Forty-Five North range. You can enjoy your drinks by the fire in the winter or outside in the patio in the summer. During the summer, they also host wine tours, offer walking trails and mountain bike trails through the property, and Yoga in the Vines, where you can drink wine while doing yoga!

For a small fee, you can taste five wines or ciders. Their award-winning wines include a range of white wines, red, a rosé, and a selection of fruit and specialty wines.Their extensive range of cider includes a dry cider, a citra-hopped cider, a cherry-apple cider and more! Bottles of wine and cans of cider are available for purchase to enjoy at home!
