Heineken Experience

Amsterdam, the Netherlands

Amsterdam is full of activities for all types of travelers. The Heineken Experience is one that any beer lover should not miss!

The Heineken Experience is housed in the original industrial facility that dates back to 1867. In 1988, a larger, more modern facility was opened outside of the city, leaving this facility to be used for some production and for tourism. In 1991, brewery tours began, as the brewery was opened to the public. In 2008, the Heineken Experience was remodeled and expanded, creating the transformative, exciting tour experience that it is today.

Begin your self-guided tour learning about the history of beer, with love pop-up segments throughout the tour. These live segments will educate you in greater detail about the history of beer and what Heineken is made up of. Then, you will be sent to the brewing and bottling facility. This is where you will go on a simulation experience, where you will be brewed, bottled and shipped all over the world.

Near the end of your tour, you’ll see the fermentation stills, see the horse stables, and finally, you will get to enjoy a glass (or two) of Heineken, which is included in your tour experience.
