Experience
Musee de la Civilisation
Quebec City, Canada
Quebec City is a great destination full of history, culture, and grand architecture. In Old Quebec, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, you can walk through the cobbled laneways discovering many hidden gems and photo ops. While Musee de la Civilisation is not necessarily hidden, we certianly think its a gem!

The Musee de la Civilisation opened in 1988. It is ‘a place of inquiry, study and documentation that seeks to understand and interpret the world.’ It operates as an ongoing research facility, this has led to collaborations with a variety of museums and universities around the world.
There are many permanent exhibits within the museum such as, ‘People of Quebec: Then and Now.’ The museum also hosts a series of temporary exhibits and workshops. Most of the exhibits and workshops tend to be hands on or interactive in some way. For example, the ‘Design Me an Object’ workshop lets you design and manufacture an object of your desire with a range of products on display. They also have costume workshops, interactive illusion workshops, and more.
The Musee de la Civilisation is a great place to visit, as there is always something exciting going on! If you visit alone or with your family or a group, plan to spend a couple of hours here, as every exhibit has something worth exploring!
