The current location of the Melbourne Museum officially opened in 2000. It hosts a wide array of permanent and visiting exhibits. Some of its permanent exhibits include, a series dinosaur skeletons; The Science & Life Gallery, which hosts exhibits about bugs, marine life and dinosaurs; Melbourne Gallery, which has a taxidermies Phar Lap (one of Australias greatest racing horses); The Melbourne Story; Mind and Body Gallery, Evolution Gallery; the Bunjilaka Aboriginal Cultural Centre, showcasing exhibits about Indigenous Australians, and more!
