Montreal Museum of Fine Arts
Montreal, Canada
Montreal is a city with a love of arts and culture! Montreal Museum of Fine Arts (MMFA) is a large museum featuring some of the country’s finest arts.

Established in 1860, the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts is now one of the most popular museums in the country. When it started, it wasn’t housed in a permanent building, so its collection remained quite small. Today, MMFA’s collection includes over 45,000 works!

The MMFA’s collections cover a wide array of artwork. The Photography and Graphic Arts collection includes over 2,500 photographs from all over the world. The Archaeology and World Cultures collection is comprised of 9,640 objects and is one of the largest collections of its type in Canada! The objects include Asian Art, Art of the Americas, and more. The International Contemporary Art collection showcases works from 1980 onwards. It features sculptures, paintings and multimedia projects.

The museum features education experiences, art therapy, and cultural experiences. MMFA often hosts temporary exhibits, so be sure to see what’s on during your visit.
