National Gallery of Australia

Canberra, Australia

Canberra is in Australia’s Capital Territory; it is where you’ll find the capital of Australia! And if you’re a dinosaur lover, then you shouldn’t miss the National Dinosaur Museum!

Established in 1993, the National Dinosaur Museum has grown and now houses the “largest permanent display of prehistoric fossil material in Australia.”  Within the museum, you can walk through life-sized dinosaur displays, admire many fossils, minerals and crystals on display.

It is the perfect place to spend an afternoon, especially for children! It contains a collection of 23 complete skeletons and over 300 individual fossils. There is even a series of 12 animatronic dinosaurs and a large collection of life size models inside the building and outside in the dinosaur garden!
