The Science Museum was established in 1857 and now holds a collection of over 250,00 items. Some of its galleries include cinematography, The Babbage Papers, and historic railway posters. The museum features the oldest surviving steam locomotive, some of the earliest made steam engines, the first jet engine, and more!

The museum also contains objects from medical history and the art of medicine and a dedicated library. It holds periodicals and some early manuscripts. It also has a number of temporary exhibits, events for families, and a few cafes and restaurants if you’re looking to grab a bite to eat.
